Sexual health and contraception consultation

A sexual health consultation is an opportunity to question your femininity and your knowledge of your body. The midwife is aimed at all women, including adolescents.

The midwife provides information on the anatomy of the genitals, the physiology of the menstrual cycle, and methods of contraception.

Sexual health consultation requires time, a safe environment and active listening. It allows us to understand the patient’s history, her sexuality, her beliefs and her fears.

In the postnatal period this consultation may be linked to perineal rehabilitation sessions as well as the prescription of hormonal contraception.
